Yesterday at Theater Works Brett introduced Dave and I to our Stage Manager for CHAPTER TW0 - Matt Sanders.  He even had a business card.... okay Judy, I have to add that to the list... Compass Players needs business cards.

Anyway, driving home from there I kept thinking how the dialogue between like-minded people flows quickly and easily.  Like we say in the play, "I feel like I have known you for a long, long time."  And I could feel my creativity factor multiply by an exponential of 12.

Discussions about choice and placement of flats, can we get microphones, more seats in the theater per night, where to put prop tables, backstage changing areas, locations for curtains.... Brett, Matt, Dave and I were talking fast and clicking on all cylinders as we moved about the theater.  Most heard lines yesterday were, "Hey, what if we did....," and" "Yeah, I think we can do that...."  and we all KNEW what the other meant!!   All of us there for a common goal, all creating on the last person's thought.  THIS is how you make theater.  It's collaborative.  It's contagious.  It's such an emotional rush... I wish everyone could experience this sensation.  On next to no sleep, yesterday, standing in that space with those three people I felt like I could take on the world.

22 Days until we Open (I had been miscounting)
